Our response to the COVID-19 pandemic-

We are offering guests full refunds less a $50 admin fee for reservations should the non essential travel restrictions apply during your stay. Any guests with a check-in date prior to 30th May can automatically apply for this. Therefore, you can book your future stay with confidence.  If travel restrictions are in place for the dates of your stay, you may get a refund (less $50 admin fee). 

COVID - 19 update - Stay Port Stephens adhered to all government regulations regarding unessential travel. We are only managing essential travel requirements, as per government regulations including government agencies, workers etc. We want to reiterate that the safety of our community and our guests are paramount, that's why in addition to the normal cleaning our properties are also being fully sanitised in accordance with the guidelines, and following a specific COVID-19 sanitising checklist. 


We'll be negotiating the price for extended stays during winter 2020 for those who have a valid reason for requiring accommodation. Please contact us directly for more information, we will arrange a discount on mid-term stays.

Located in Salamander Bays most prestigious street, WandaWaterfront Retreat is on a shared waterfront block with only a small one-storey house between it and the beach. With approved, direct private access to the beach and with your private access to the beach, through a gate in your courtyard, you'll be on the beach in seconds. The beach itself has gorgeous golden sands and tranquil calm water, perfect for little ones, and the views across the bayare truly mesmerising. The beach is very long and quite private. Theres plenty of room to kick or throw a ball around or have a quintessentially Australian game of beach cricket. Theres even direct boat access!

Wander down the beach and discover a beachfront park with childrens play equipment and BBQs, or continue on a little until you reach the new, highly sought-after Rick Stein restaurant (Bannisters Port Stephens).

Around the corner from Wanda Waterfront Retreatare the suburb's local shops, providing all the essentials within a brief stroll. Pop out for coffee at a local cafe or a meal at one of the restaurants, or grabtakeaway at Port Stephens best Fish & Chip Shop (Salt Mine), plus theres also the all important bottle shop.

Wanda Waterfront Retreat is the perfect size to accommodate a small to medium sized group of guests looking for a quality, chic coastal holiday home. The master bedroom is located upstairs and has its own balcony, ensuite and a queen sized bed. Outside the master bedroom, in a reading nook off the hallway is a comfy sofa bed, handy for children. There is also a powder room on the top floor for your convenience. On the ground floor are two more bedrooms and a bathroom which includes a bath tub. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and the other has two single beds, which can be pushed together if desired (please request your preferred option at the time of your booking).

The upstairs has a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area, with sparkling water views, flowing out onto an undercover balcony with a table and chairs and two loungers. The kitchen is fully equipped with Miele appliances and stone island and bench-tops. The ground floor contains a second living area, complete with kitchenette and drinks fridge, and opens onto a sun-soaked courtyard with BBQ and outdoor dining setting. Both loungerooms are connected to Netflix and the TV downstairs is set up so games consoles can be plugged into it for yourentertainment.

Wanda Waterfront Retreat is stylishly decorated and furnished, with tasteful nods to its seaside surround. Theres easy care tiles and polished timber flooring in the living areas and cosy carpet in the bedrooms. The home has a double garage, ducted air conditioning and a laundry with washer and dryer. Upon arrival youll find beds all made with crisp white linens and fluffy towels in the bathrooms.
