We are Brisbane, Sunshine Coast & Toowoomba's closest hot air ballooning company - located in Ipswich servicing the Greater Brisbane Region and beyond! Simply drive 30 minutes west of the Brisbane CBD to experience a 1 hour city and country hot air balloon flight.

We offer a boutique ballooning experience with only one flight per day and a maximum of 10 passengers ensuring you enjoy the experience you deserve.
This activity, commences 45 minutes before sunrise, is approximately 3 to 4 hours, and includes a 1 hour Balloon Flight, optional Restaurant Breakfast & Commemorative Flight Certificate.

Floating Images Hot Air Balloon company was created and established in 1997. It is owned and operated by two very energetic and motivated Queenslanders – Graeme and Ruth Day, who offer a professional and friendly ballooning service with a ready smile for their clients.
Floating Images is South East Queensland’s only balloon operator offering a unique professional and personal boutique ballooning opportunity to combine a city and country balloon flight over the heritage city of Ipswich and the Scenic Rim region. After 19 years in the region, we have an intimate knowledge of our lovely region, as the first balloon operator based and servicing the Ipswich, Scenic Rim and Somerset regions.Every flight is carried out by the owner and Chief Pilot, Graeme Day, who has nearly 30 years commercial ballooning experience!

By Road Ipswich is adjacent to five major arterial roads allowing for easy access via road.
From the East the Ipswich Motorway links Ipswich to Brisbane & the Sunshine Coast.
From the West the Warrego Highway (Highway 54) links Ipswich to major regional centres including Toowoomba, Roma & Charleville.
From the North the Brisbane Valley Highway (Highway 17) links Ipswich to major regional centres including Esk, Kingaroy, Murgon, Kilcoy and the Sunshine Coast.
From the South the Cunningham Highway (Highway 15) links Ipswich to major regional centres including Warwick & Stanthorpe, along with the New England Highway from New South Wales.
From the South-East the Logan Motorway links Ipswich to the Gold Coast and Pacific Highway from New South Wales, and the Gateway Motorway to Brisbane Airport & Sunshine Coast.

Cancellation Policy
All Passengers using Floating Images services booked either directly or indirectly via a booking agency such as Bookeasy do so and accept under Floating Images terms & conditions as briefly advised below on Floating Images brochure and in full on Floating Images website www.floatingimages.com.au.

Passengers cannot change their confirmed booking date 14 days prior to the flight. If so cancellation policy & fees apply accordingly.
Flight Alteration & Cancellation of a Booking:
(a) In the unfortunate event you should have to alter or cancel your booking certain fees apply:
i) Individual Passenger Booking (1 – 3 passengers)
• Any flight altered or cancelled within 72 hours prior to flight date will forfeit the full fare per person and will not be refunded. • Any flight altered or cancelled between 72 hours (3 days) and 7 days prior to flight date will incur a rebooking fee of $50.00 per person will be charged or deducted from your refund.
• Any flight altered or cancelled between 8 and 14 days prior to flight date – will incur a $25 cancellation fee per person deducted from your refund or full credit will held against the re-booking of your flight.
• Missed flight: If you fail to show up for your flight or do not arrive in time for the flight and you miss your scheduled flight date; the full flight fare (100%) is forfeited and no rebook or refund will be made. You may send someone else in your place if you wish – please notify us the name and estimated weight of any replacement person. The company has the right to retain all deposits received up to the amount of the cancellation fee. If we are holding a credit card for security and you alter cancel or miss the flight the credit card will be debited for any amount outstanding
