Shaped by Mother Nature for over 200 million years, Carnarvon Gorge is a spectacular destination filled with striking landscapes, towering sandstone cliffs, endless tablelands, an abundance of native wildlife and indigenous art sites that have been recognised as some of the finest rock imagery in Australia. And amidst this natural wonder, you'll have the opportunity to set up camp right in the heart of it all at Carnarvon National Park.

Your nature escape doesn't stop when you leave the Gorge. The surrounding area is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and is home to 173 species of birds, 60 different mammals, 22 species of frogs and 90 reptiles. Even the elusive platypus can be spotted by the keen eye from the banks of Carnarvon Creek, which wraps itself around the holiday park.

Vehicles

We permit one vehicle per accommodation reservation, and one vehicle and one caravan, camper trailer or tent per site reservation.

If you would like to bring any other vehicles, or personal leisure equipment (e.g. boats, jet skis, motorbikes etc.), this is at the discretion of the Customer Service Team and must be approved prior to your arrival. Approved additional vehicles may attract a fee. Additional vehicles will not be approved during peak periods.

All additional vehicles and personal leisure equipment must be contained within your reserved site or allocated parking space.

Important Information

Please keep your site tidy and use the facilities provided for washing clothes, drying clothes, discharge of sullage water and rubbish disposal. Everyone appreciates a well-kept site, so please remember that we do not allow trenches to be dug in the park, under any circumstances

Misuse of the boom gates (this includes allowing other vehicles, other than your own into the park) and amenities block security pin pads will result in eviction from the park. No refund will apply

In the interests of all guests enjoying their stay, we ask that excessive noise is ceased by 10pm

Designated paths and roads are to be used at all times when walking around the park

All campfires are the responsibility of the guest.
• All fires must be extinguished by 10pm.
• Do not leave campfires unattended. All fires must be supervised at all times by an adult.
• Fire restrictions enforced by government bodies may apply. Please check with staff before lighting a fire.
• Fires are not permitted on any site matting or roadway.
• Fires are not permitted on the ground anywhere in the Holiday Park.
• Fires must be contained in a suitably constructed fire pit at least 300mm above the ground.
• Firewood for any communal fire pits will be provided daily. Firewood for personal fireplaces can be purchased at the kiosk.
• All ashes must be disposed of only in the receptacles provided.

We have many trees in our park that drop branches and debris. Staff are continually pruning to reduce the problem. Major contract pruning is also carried out twice yearly to further reduce the risk. We cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for personal injury or damage to personal property from falling branches or debris.

New arrivals and guests must report before entry to the park

In the interest of safety, the speed limit throughout the park is a walking pace only

We consider ourselves a family-friendly park where bicycles are permitted. However, it is essential that helmets are worn at all times. For safety reasons, no bicycles are to be ridden after dark

Guests in the park who are deemed by management to be behaving in a socially unacceptable way, causing damage, disturbing other guests, using unacceptable language or not adhering to park guidelines will be asked to vacate the premises immediately. No refund will be given and charges will apply for any damage caused.

Prices subject to change without notice

Late checkout is offered and applies to off-peak, site bookings (Sunday – Thursday) and cabin bookings (Sunday only). This is subject to availability, for a small fee. This gives you until 4pm to checkout.

We require a minimum stay over holiday periods

Smoking

Smoking of tobacco products and e-cigarettes is strictly prohibited by State/Territory law;

Inside any enclosed buildings within the park. This includes, but is not limited to cabins, amenity blocks, camp kitchens, and reception buildings.

Within 5 metres of any entrance or exit of buildings. This includes cabin balconies.

Within 10 metres of a children’s playground or any other recreational facilities.

Please note: Failure to comply with our smoking policy will result in a $250 fee being charged to your credit card or forfeiture of your cash deposit. You may also be subject to penalties or fines as set out by State/Territory Law.

Electric Vehicles, Escooters and Lithium Batteries

The charging of electric vehicles, escooters and any form of lithium batteries is strictly prohibited within the Holiday Park.
