Adamsons Riverside sits thirty metres from the Margaret River and under a minute's walk from the bottom of town, one of very few places in the region where the river trail and a café are the same short walk from your door.

The heritage gardens out front draw wild ducks up from the river, and from early spring to late autumn guests are welcome at the 4pm feeding, a tradition kept here for more than a decade. Adamsons is also home to the Duckhouse Sessions.

Adamsons Riverside is unpretentious, cottage-style accommodation at the river entrance to Margaret River town, thirty metres from the riverbank.

The lower end of town begins less than a minute's walk from the door: three restaurants, two of them at Bridgefield across the road, plus the Margaret River Bakery, boutique coffee, Temper Temper Fine Chocolate, Red Sea Gallery and the Sons and Daughters cellar door. The main street is two minutes further up the hill. The other direction leads to the Old Settlement Museum, the Hairy Marron bike hire and café, and the walking and mountain-bike trails of Wooditjup National Park. Town on foot or the area by car or bike.

The heritage gardens at the front are the ones spilling over the fence as you cross the bridge into town. Pacific Black Ducks and Wood Ducks come up from the river, and from early spring to late autumn guests are welcome at the 4pm feeding, a tradition kept here for more than a decade using proper duck feed rather than bread. Adamsons is also home to the Duckhouse Sessions, occasional live-music afternoons with musicians from the region, Perth and abroad.

Twelve rooms and apartments suit couples, families and longer stays, from queen ensuite rooms to two-bedroom self-contained apartments sleeping five. Every room has its own courtyard or balcony, reverse-cycle air conditioning and nbn Wi-Fi. There is also a covered communal courtyard with a barbecue. From $165 per night.
